This corridor vision provides a long-term framework for how I-15 can evolve to meet future needs. It considers anticipated land use changes, emerging travel patterns, and infrastructure demands to identify potential improvements and strategies. This study defines a clear path forward to guide strategic investments that enhance mobility, support economic growth, and ensure reliable access along this critical regional corridor.

Overview

Corridor Improvements

  • Expand to 3 lanes in each direction (Stateline to Jean), consistent with California facilities

  • Expand to 4 lanes in each direction (Jean to Sloan)

  • Widen and improve Las Vegas Boulevard to support corridor connectivity

Interchange Improvements

  • Construct new interchanges with a minimum spacing of 2 miles, in accordance with NDOT policy

  • Coordinate interchange planning with the Southern Nevada Supplemental Airport (SNSA), including both interim and long-term access needs

  • Three lanes in each direction

  • Compatible with California
